This is the guitar that I used for all the APP tours from 1993 to 1995. It also played the solo on Beverley Craven's track "Look No Further". I refer to it fondly as "Blue Boy" because of the intensity of the blue finish. You just can't miss him can you!? He is the most basic of the Paul Reed Smith models with a solid alder body and is a little unusual in that he has a maple neck and fingerboard. The neck is bolted to the body, not glued. He is absolutely standard as from the factory, except that I fitted "Dragon" pickups to give him a little more kick. Occasionally you stumble across guitars that have a sound of their own. This is one of those guitars. Although the McCarty guitar that Paul built for me can outpace him, I would never part with this little guitar with the big tone.
